Hi Edo - Yes, it should see these as ratings from the tracks in Beatport in Traktor, but Traktor has been known to be writing over peoples files after they are imported. That could be the cause here.

Hi – Is this issue still happening with your downloads?
Has this happened since then?
Hi - Can you tell me what the tracks are or better yet, paste the links to them on the store in here? This will be extremely helpful.
Hi - Can you give me the names of the tracks or the URLs on the store? I'd like to research if there's an encoding problem with these and our downloads. I am currently not able to locate any tracks or complaints of this.

Hi All – Additional updates to performance were made this week, do you feel the differences at all?
Thanks
RichThanks for the feedback, so it's only when you have multiple tabs open that the speed decreases?
Hi Everyone, first of all thank you for all your patience and feedback we iterate on our music store. Today we released some additional changes our the performance of the music store. Could some of you tell me if the site feels faster to you? If not, where are you seeing poor performance? Can you post some places in the site that might be slow to you?
Thanks,
Rich Hofer

Ahh, I see what you mean. You can use a keyword search in your library, but not on the music store. I assume you mean searching for music for purchase?

Where would you want to copy and paste? You can via the grid?
Hi Richard - Thanks for the quick response, where were you trying to copy and what was it? Was it something in the music store or in your own library?

Can you explain a bit more what you mean by playlist integration?
Hi Jason - I'd be happy to chat about this via a Google Hangout or phone call, as I think there's some things getting lost in translation. Drop me an email at beatportpromac@beatport.com and let's discuss.
Beatport Pro for Mac was intended to be an application for not just shopping but content management. We created the app for DJs to be able to manage their music the way a DJ has needed to and not need to utilize software that wasn't built to manage music, but to perform with.
If there are specifics that are currently not working for you with integration across other software, please provide some examples. I am happy to discuss specific features that may be missing to utilize Beatport Pro into a workflow. The application was built to replace iTunes for DJs as iTunes is not built for DJs.

So this is to be able to follow the artist from your library collection?
There is a topic for that one I believe. For stats do you mean how many times you've listened to stuff in your library?

Great suggestion, wouldn’t you envision this being more part of BeatBot?
Thanks for the heads up!
Yes, that's more of my suggestion. That, and the fact that you can generate similar content based on the new tags that we've added, such as mood or venue.

Hi SteveGlen, I am not sure what you mean here. Can you explain a bit more?
You can always jump to what track is playing in the player by selecting it's name. How would you be able to browse what content is not being played by always filling the details pane with active playback content?

Hi SteveGlen, I am not sure what you mean here.
Sync'ing of content is done track by track as we don't want to automatically place meta data into a track that is not tagged properly. I am not sure what you mean by tags aren't showing up in Traktor?

iTunes playlists will not sync into Beatport pro unless they are imported. You can re-import iTunes playlists into Pro or vice versa, but they will not sync automatically unless you completely replace the iTunes XML library file with the one from Beatport Pro. In these instances, this is not something fully supported with Beatport Pro as the export and sync options are meant to be used with software such as Traktor and Rekordbox.
Beatport Pro will watch folders that you set for importing new content into the application, but will not add them automatically back and forth between iTunes and Beatport Pro.
Hi Cassidy - That is correct, once you import an iTunes file it won't "watch" that file for new content added to it. You can have pro watch a folder and have it add content automatically.
Hi Rishi - The best option to avoid this is to take a group of tracks and to migrate them over.
Unless you import playlists into Beatport Pro, it will not pull new playlists from iTunes.
How is the itunes file being imported into iTunes?

So does this mean for example something like Progressive House you can make the sizes of the flyouts larger?
Got it, thanks. Let's get some more votes!

I am sorry but what do you mean?
Hi Thanks, but in what capacity? Having the app respond to commands on a mac from apple remote?

These missing shortcuts are in the progress of being added. The sorting options as well as My Beatport sections are open items under review that require additional votes. Please review those.
Hi gladely - can you send your logs over to beatportpro@beatport.com?

What error occurs when you attempt to sync these?
Have you tried to change the names of the tracks or artists to see if it shows results in the search?

Thanks, keep in mind that that the mood, venue, vocal, and set time tags are all written to their own ID3 frames.
Are you looking to just specifically write only one type of tag to the comments section?
A lot of this can be done via the Data Migration Assistant in the app, but each tag has to be done individually.
Regardless, we'll still look at this as a specific feature similar to the export we have for Comments.

Interesting idea, let’s get some votes.
Ah, I understand now. Thanks. Let's get some more votes on it!
Hi DJ Maven - I appreciate the honesty in your response here, but I can assure you the assumption you're making around ignoring the number of requests to add this feature into the application is not as you make it appear.
We're currently working hard to improve our web store at the current moment and the reason this functionality does not exist in the Mac application is simply our technology stack hasn't been updated to support it.
I'll be sure to pass along your feedback to the team and we'll be sure to prioritize this feature alongside the other items we get daily regarding improvements to both our site and desktop applications.
