Import Playlists from other softwares to use as search/lookup lists for those tracks on Beatport
Ok so this 1 bugs me a lot that I have to search individually for tracks that I have in other sources or on friends computers or even in a list I collate when listening to BBC Radio 1 on a Friday night.
Not all tracks are on Beatport but if the queries are created correctly then it should be easy to create an interface where exact matches are seen darkened and non exact matches or multiple matches appear greyed out for the user to click and a nice side menu appears with the possible selections and a scrollbar for the user to determine which is correct or remove from list if not.
Starting with m3u as it's the most common cross-platform/cross-programme playlist format and giving the ability to use pdf too would be great (radio1 for me is in this format).
In the future you could branch out in to NML and Serato proprietries and maybe even youtube/spotify/google play/deezer playlists too. But start with just M3U and PDF and I think you'll cover the majority.
YES, please can we import libraries / playlists from other services, this would be a dream come true!!
I have the ability to listen to podcasts during my working day and I'm tagging tracks (whilst working at my laptop) in my google play library which means I can listen to them from my mobile, whilst driving/running/ everything else.
Currently I have to then manually add them to beatport to mix them when I switch my decks on, you could save me a heap of time adding this functionality!!
