**Adjust Download Track Titles in Account Settings**
When I download a track from Beatport the track will read "registernnumbersongtitleremix"
Can this be changed to:
"Artist - Title (remix)" ?
This would make things so much easier and less time consuming. I have to rename every single track and look for details to make it complete. A headache.

Let’s get some votes!

When you download a track
from Beatport perform it https://gbmusics.com/ -

Isn't this possible already? Account Settings>Download Preference>File Naming

only way i found around this is to just dump it all into a folder and sort them on rekordbox or serato. After that you can back them up into there own folders outside the software for some more organization.

It's funny that Beatsource (which is literally a Beatport division) does it right.
But Beatport can't fix it on its main site.I have questions here...

This is truely something. A friend and I spend, in total, days of our lives renaming filenames of tracks purchased on bearport.
A filename format such as Artist-Title_(feat._X)_(Y_Remix) would be perfect (note the underscore instead of a space character to support all OS well).

...that should definitely be fixed right away. Thought about not buying any stuff here no more because of that. A shame.

Incredible that this hasn't been fixed. I used to love track it down. all details on file,
press play once on the one page and let it roll and listen while you take care of other important stuff. Definitely not user friendly as with Juno. The least amount of steps you have to go through the better, have they tried using it themselves?? Time is money, I don't want to waste it hunting down names and renaming purchased downloads. I could make some money in that time and if it made my life easy like other websites then I could spend more money there, not rocket science -

HOW IS THIS ISSUE NOT BEEN RESOLVED?!?! Who on earth wants a track saved as 6121261_Sordid_Affair_Maceo_Plex_Mix with no mention of the artist behind the track?!?!
No beatport downloader, which took care of this issue, no option to "download all" in your list, having to trigger and RENAME EVERY ******* FILE IS UTTER INSANITY!!!!

THIS ISSUE WAS FIXED WITH THE PC VERSION OF bEATPORT DOWNLOADER WHICH WAS ABANDONED BY bEATPORT FOR NO FUCK!NG REASON!!! Mac users have a program that takes care of this issue and even integrates with Traktor, guess their development team no speaky PC, send their @ss back to ITT tech or whatever trash trade school they barely graduated from. Workaround is this: download OSX 10.13 High Sierra from a popular torrent website who's name is something similar to swashbuckler cove .org, then get VMWare Player version 15, and Unlocker 302. Use the linked instructions, but when setting up VMWare instead of using existing virtual disk load the iso image you just downloaded to the virtual cd-rom, and when they say to delete the virtual hard drive you created, don't, you'll be installing to it. When it first boots you'll have to use Disk Utility to format the virtual drive, you'll have to hit View -> Show All Devices to get your drive to show up, then hit repair or something and you're good to install. After OS X is installed you can use the Beatport PRO app to download your tracks with file names that don't have that stupid @ss number in them. https://www.pcsteps.com/2157-mac-os-x-virtual-machine-vmware-player/

Please change this feature - I have to rename each and every track too - it's super annoying.

This is really a very good idea and has been successfully implemented by most music download sites for years.
I miss that a lot at Beatport and wonder why it hasn't received many votes for years?!

Thanks for letting me use the sites great genre, search and preview feature, allowing me to find cool new artists! I'l
Do I buy that much from BP vs other sites or most importantly the artists? Naw, usually it's because of silly amateur things like simple naming conventions like this. Sometimes the cart doesn't even work on four different browsers on PC.
Gotta love wanting to buy some new music before a gig and basic 101 stuff like naming conventions and shopping carts are broken.
Most artists I've found their band camp site and prefer to purchase this way.
Thanks for making it difficult to purchase/organize, I'll use the shit out of your bandwidth and preview features!!
LOL

This whole thread reminds me of the SImpson's episode where Homer finds out all of his suggestions in the suggestion box are actually powering a furnace...Beatport while I love it has been fucking majorly, and little issues like this need to be addressed this isn't amateur hour and this ain't the Apollo - BEATPORT GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER. Please.
Thank you.

It would be great to have a decent song name without numbers before the song name and get the songs to automaticly show the artist name when you load them on rekordBox
-
Anihlist commented
Get rid of all the numbers where the artist should be in downloaded tracks renaming every track = annoying. Organizing tunes is already a big enough pain without needing to rename every single one.

come on guys, please get this sorted, its as if you are promoting illegal downloads.

Is there an easy fix for this yet. It is very frustrating and extremely time consuming.

This is especially a problem with the truncated view of the description of the tracks now.
You have to cross check your downloads with your purchases on the site to make sure they match.
