**Download Multiple Tracks/Albums in .ZIP**
If I purchase an entire album, I should be able to download it in one hit - e.g. in a zip file or similar. I just purchased an album and had to download each track one by one, right-clicking and saving from the player for each one. Painful and unnecessary!
We are currently researching the technical requirements of having this feature enabled.
Yeah this is a necessity... whats good Beatport?
Did you finish your research? When will this be available? Unbelievable... it's 2020 ;)
Wow 5 years in research of 1 button on a page.
This is ridiculous!!!
Surely it doesn’t take this long to create software that outputs a selection of files into a Zip?
Hows the research coming?
Never used beat port before, I used to torrent all my music when I was a scrotty teenager, but then I moved to vinyl and Spotify for the past 8 years
I’ve started DJing digitally so wanted to build a (legal) mp3 collection
I Downloaded the D&B arena album and was so surprised I have to download all 63 tracks manually! All with stupid file names too! I was under the impression beatport was the place to go for downloading the latest electronic music but this is what tiring me off substantially when you can torrent a nicely organised album for free... I won’t be using beatport much longer if they don’t introduce something so simple as ZIP downloads!
Even if it was a standalone application (comments from 2015 suggest one exists but I can’t find it!) then that would be so much better than faffing around downloading track by track and organising them all after. Really really surprised this isn’t doable in 2020!
Beatport is obviously going downhill . This is such an obvious thing it boggles the mind we'd even have to ask. The site has barely changed how users get tracks. If anything we've lost features since they stopped BPPro for PC users. I mostly get my tracks elsewhere because of their lack of implementing basic features to make my life convenient that other sites have. The few tracks that I can't find anywhere else I'll go to Beatport, then spend time organizing and renaming files to something useful and they have the nerve to up charge for lossless but not even provide the tracks in an organized manner. It's a shame.
It takes ages to download all bought tracks.
I bought 153 tracks, no doubles and I already downloaded the whole list twice because I keep ending up with less songs then I've bought.
Please, implement this QOL improvement.
It will save your users a lot of time.
Honestly guys at Beatport, you really need to pull your finger out with all these requests and suggestions. This request was made in Feb 2015, then in September 2019 its finally ‘Being Researched’ ...wait what!
This isn’t good enough! It’s taken 4 years for a response to be made, I’m actually thinking what’s the point in everyone making great suggestions when nothing will get done?
Being able to download an entire album, or even 10 purchased separate tracks, should have been implemented into this software MANY years ago. I’m shocked this is not a feature on the site, and judging by a few comments below from customers, this should have been made a priority by now.
Please give this your attention soonest
by the way ----- thanks for holding down the good quality over all these years.
duuuuuuude heeeeeyyyy listtteeeeennnnnnnn
Please make possible to "Download All" thru the browser....
WE WANT TO BUY MANY, MANY TRACKS ......... PLEASE LET US PAY U $$
Knock, knock, anyone in your business there???
Thank you for any assistance.
Shockingly bad. Very obviously bad user experience.
I had to click on 43 download links to download the contents of 3 albums? Chrome skipped files because I was downloading too fast and I double downloaded files. I had to go back and make sure I download every file comparing with the track listing on the album. I'd missed about 7 files and had some duplicates... I realize I should be more careful when clicking 43 links in a row, but why is this even be possible? Shouldn't it be 3 zip files?
"Beatport. Oh right, that's the place that makes you download each song one by one..."
If I have a choice I'll always go somewhere else.
bandcamp and addic.tech offer this service since the dark ages... whats wrong with you beatport ? its 2019 !!!!
Truly disappointing experience !!! I'm so ****** right now you are making me waste so much time !!! and you are including a freaking long *** number in the files wtf beatport!!#
super important feature, can't believe it's not there.
Just thought im chime in on this. Im just about to buy 400+ tracks in your %50 level up promotion. My selection consists of a mix of single track downloads and multiple albums. Once i've gone through with the purchase ill have all my tracks mixed up and have to sort them all manually checking each track in each album manually. This is many hours of tedious work that could be avoided. I'm here now becuase i was searching for a way to download my albums as whole units thinking (hoping) perhaps id missed something. Please expediate this feature and take care of your PC folks too.
Thanks very much for the feedback and apologise for the delay to provide feedback on this post.
This is a feature that is currently under review as part of our continued product development.
is anyone from beatport listening or reading these posts?
Please, Beatport, read between the lines a bit when people make such requests: we want to be able to download all the possible Downloads we have with one button press. We don't simply want a 'Download All' button that is disabled and does nothing (such is the case in the current Beatport Pro application).
Using the Beatport desktop app, the "Available" section changes its number constantly, never matching the number shown on the actual Beatport website (Right now the app shows 503, but the website shows 770). I've clicked the Download All button multiple times, and it downloaded 711 actual files, but the playlist shows 884 items, with many duplicate rows (many/all of which point to the same file) and no easy way to get rid of the duplicates or filter for uniqueness. The website lacks a "Download All" button, and clicking 770 Download buttons one by one is a positively ridiculous proposition. I understand this is difficult to implement, but maybe there's a "Download All" button, which adds us to a queue, ZIPs all the files, and emails us a download link when it's ready. Maybe that ZIP file is stored temporarily on an FTP server so we don't kill your main website with the traffic. Or maybe investigate using Torrent technology for this, the way that different Linux websites do for their disk image download links. Frankly I don't care how it's implemented, as long as it is available, and it works, and I actually get to download every song I paid for and I can be sure that I am not missing any before the download deadline expires.
