Music playback slow in Chrome
Since the music player was updated a few weeks ago, songs take significantly more time to load and play in Chrome. Playback in Firefox is fine, but painfully slow in Chrome. Tested this issue on multiple computers, cleaned out the cache, confirmed good connections with network speed tests, updated to latest version of Chrome, etc., but the poor performance remains the same in Chrome.

The whole site overall is just really, really slow. Loading any of my carts takes for ever. Pressing play and waiting for the track to start playing takes for ever. It's a bit faster in Safari but on Chrome it just crawls... makes it hard to browse between tracks quickly. I have to resort to opening multiple tabs so when I get to that content it's finally loaded. Otherwise it would take way longer browsing in one tab.

Not just painfully slow on Chrome, also Safari. It's made searching on Beatport really a pain.

I know when this happens. It happens when you have a long playlist. Clear the playlist and performance returns.

i've also tried playback queue on 50 instead of 150, just as slow.
cleaning cookies and cue and only play a artist top 10, just as slow.
tried the same on mac book pro with safari, just as slow.
same on mac book air 2019, just as slow.
also tried to play a track 1 by 1, lets say newly released house, just as slow. -

Even after clearing the playback queue, there is a still a delay between when you hit next track and when the next track music starts. In the old UI, it was instant. You can verify it with classic.beatport.com.
Please fix this.

It's not just music playback that's slow. Site load times are super slow (1-3 seconds, minimum, on every link clicked). Also, the player takes 1-3 seconds, minimum, to begin playback whether or not the queue has been cleared. I have duplicated these issues on Chrome and Firefox on two different MacBook Pros. The Beatport user experience is painful in general at the moment due to load times.

We have identified that this problem occurs when the player queue becomes overloaded. We are working to address the this issue.
In the meantime, clearing the player queue will speed up the performance.

Loading songs in Chrome still takes a considerably long time and now load times in Firefox are unbearable. Using a timer, Chrome takes roughly 4 seconds to load before playback starts after clicking "Play." In Firefox, its almost 9 seconds. I've tested this on several Windows computers with the cache cleared out, drivers updated, etc. Before the new player was launched, it wouldn't take more than 2 seconds to load a song which made browsing for music on the fly a breeze. Now, browsing for music is a painfully slow experience.

Same issue here since the most recent update - I haven't really searched for music in the last few weeks because of the huge lag between tracks.
