how do we include promo tracks we were given, but are now available on beatport?

Beatport Moderator Pete wants a vote to see if there is interest in allowing more than 25 tracks in a Beatport Mixes mix.

I know some of you would never do such a thing, but there's a lot of us that use even more than 25, and it would be nice to be able to flex a full mix without having to make it shorter than usual.

VOTE HERE and let's show Beatport that we want this!

Maybe if there was a sign next to the songs to let you know are they eligible for beatport mixes when buying them i bought 3 or 4 songs i really wanted to put in my mix just to find out they weren't eligible was a huge let down

How about adding the option to buy a mix together with all single tracks included as a bundle - and at a discounted price? I'm sure this could be an incentive to buy tracks which otherwise may not have been bought separately (Not sure of the legal issues involved with this)

I would like to know how my mix is performing during the month. At the moment it seems to show 0 downloads until the end of the month when it is updated (unless all of my downloads happened on the last day of the month which I guess is possible). It would be good if it was updated more often.

I've sworn off PayPal from past expirience. It would be amazing (and possibly cheaper?) if you could add all mix sales as a credit to our Beatport account. Does that make sense to anyone else?

It seems like the current price is set in stone regardless of the number of songs in the mix. Which means that a 40 minute mix will have the same price as a 2 hour mix. I would prefer to see the possibility of this scaling based on the amount of songs.

As a quality freak I only buy WAV tracks.
So I find it important to upload my mixes in WAV to.
BUT...
I'm aware it can deter customers away because the file size.

So I would like to see the same principle as with tracks.
A customer can download a MP3 or a WAV (wave fee?).
So I suspect BP can take care of transcoding the wav file to MP3?

There are actually tracks that aren't my own or available on Beatport. If I can't add them to the tracklist, this service is actually pretty useless.

Would be cool if you fixed this, otherwise I would feel like you aren't really doing this for the djs.

It would be really cool if people could follow a DJ the same way we can follow any artist or label for the "My Beatport" feature. That way they get an alert every time the DJ uploads a new mix.

It would also be great if they receive an alert when any of the artists/labels they're following are used in a DJ's mix too.

I think lots of "regular" people want to buy mixes without having to sign up to Beatport. Could this be a feature Beatport would consider?

It's not possible, to choose a track twice whithin an mix...
Sometimes it could be an advantage to use it 2 times.

It would be much easier to find the tracks when the list would be sorted by date or purchase instead of release date. When I put a track in the mix which I recently bought and when I want to add the tracks can´t remember the name, I may have to browse through a huge amount of pages.

Like for example, there are tracks that Beatport gives out for free(such as Kill Everybody(KOAN sound remix), that I would like to use for my mixes. It still comes from Beatport so I really don't get why not.

import tracks from serato playlists then have a verify screen linking tracks to purchases.

I have 6000 tracks in my library, not all of the library is from beatport, however i have 4 pages of downloads of beatport tracks. It would be very useful to get that list as a text file so i can tag my library...

Hello Guys, I've uploaded my mix, and I saw the time on the side of the tracks. Happily, it's optional. I think you should hide the times from the tracks if they equals to 00:00:00

I was browsing true the mixes and could'nt believe my eyes.I've found mixes with only 4 records..price 7,99 euro..I kid you not ;).And they where'nt even properly mixed..
I think those mixes lower the standards of bp.

It would be REALLY awesome if we could upload .m4a files. XLR8R.com uses them for their mix podcasts. You can add images and hyperlinks to .m4a files that change at specific times (as "chapters") in Garage Band; these display when played on iTunes, iPod or iPhone.

What would be even better is if you wrote a script that automated writing chapters into our uploaded .m4a files, based on the start times we enter, with each track's coverart and the beatport buy link for the track per chapter.
